Join Thermo Fisher Scientific as an Account Manager III and play a key role in advancing our mission to make the world healthier, cleaner, and safer. In this role, you will drive revenue growth and build strategic, long-term relationships with academic and healthcare customers by representing our comprehensive portfolio of life science products, services, and solutions.

Territory: Western NY State, including Rochester, Buffalo, and Ithaca

As a trusted advisor, you will leverage your scientific expertise and consultative sales approach to support customer research across areas such as cell biology, protein biology, and molecular biology. Working in a highly collaborative, matrixed environment, you will partner with technical specialists, product managers, and internal teams to deliver tailored solutions that help customers achieve their scientific and business goals.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree plus 3+ years of sales or lab experience. Preferably sales experience in laboratory, scientific, or healthcare industries
  • Preferred Fields of Study: Life Sciences, Chemistry, Biology, or related scientific field
  • Technical knowledge and ability to understand customer applications and workflows
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
  • Team player
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain customer relationships at all levels
  • Proficiency with CRM systems (preferably Salesforce) and MS Office suite
  • Analytical and strategic planning capabilities
  • Results-oriented with demonstrated success in achieving sales targets
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a matrix environment
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel up to 50-75% within assigned territory. Minimal overnight requirement, site dependent.
  • Fluency in English required

  • Hands-on experience in academic or biotech research environment
  • Demonstrate self-leadership
  • Experiencing leveraging competitive bids and sales agreements to maximize opportunity

Compensation and Benefits:

The salary range estimated for this position based in New York is $65,000.00–$100,000.00.

This position may also be eligible to receive a variable annual bonus based on company, team, and/or individual performance results in accordance with company policy. We offer a comprehensive Total Rewards package that our U.S. colleagues and their families can count on, which includes:
