Adjunct Professor of Philosophy-Spring 2024 Job Summary: The School of the Humanities (part of the Maxwell Becton College of Arts and Sciences) at Fairleigh Dickinson University ( ) is looking for part-time (adjunct) faculty to teach in-person sections of Ethics and possibly other Philosophy courses starting in Spring 2024. Responsibilities Teach in-person sections of Ethics (3 credit hours) on assigned days: Monday‑Thursday 10:00‑11:15 AM and 11:30‑12:45 PM Eastern; Tuesday‑Friday 10:00‑11:15 AM Eastern. Possibly teach other Philosophy courses (schedule and credit hours to be defined). Ensure instruction is interactive, engaging, relevant to students’ lives, and potentially fun. Preferred Qualifications Advanced degree (PhD preferred, Master’s acceptable) in Philosophy or a related field. Coursework, teaching, or professional experience involving ethics or moral philosophy. Evidence of teaching effectiveness. Employment is contingent upon a satisfactory background check.
