We are looking for a candidate with strong knowledge of Android SDK, different versions of Android, and how to deal with form factor. The ideal candidate should have a strong knowledge of Android architecture, UI design principles, patterns, and best practices such as MVVM, OOPS, Dependency Injection in Android/Java. Familiarity with the open-source Android ecosystem and the libraries available for common tasks is required. The candidate must have experience with Unit Test/BDD/TDD/UI, Automation/Performance/Security/Smoke testing using Testing frameworks like Junit, Mockito, Espresso, Roboelectric. Relevant project instrumentation for CI/CD using Jenkins, GitHub, etc. should be implemented. Experience with offline storage, threading, and performance tuning is necessary. The candidate should have experience working with web services API consumption/integration (SOAP, REST, JSON, XML) and working with teams and code sharing. Passion for clean codes, where reusability, testability, and legibility are a must-have. Familiarity with an agile environment and using tools like git, jira, crashlytics, and performance metrics is required. A strong foundation in fundamentals: data structure, algorithm, design patterns, and problem solving is essential. Solid understanding of the full mobile development life cycle is required. The candidate must have at least two apps in the Google Play Store. Kotlin, Flutter, React Native would be a plus. Must have worked with at least one MVVM framework preferably MVVM Cross. Excellent communication and presentation skills in English and the ability to participate in a deep dive technical workshop and a board-level presentation are required. A demonstrable understanding of Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) is necessary. The candidate should define, refine, and ensure implementations meet Non-Functional Requirements. An active GitHub profile is required. Valid US work visa is mandatory.
