Assembler: Dixon, Illinois

Our customer in Dixon, Illinois is seeking dependable and detail-oriented assemblers to join their team on 1st shift. We’re recruiting assemblers to work full-time, assembling and installing equipment with a variety of hand and power tools. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys hands-on work, problem-solving, and contributing to high-quality manufacturing results.

Responsibilities of the Assembler:
  • Assemble equipment under supervision, following work instructions and specifications.
  • Operate hand and power tools for mechanical, hydraulic, and electronic assembly.
  • Read and interpret instructions to install, fasten, and connect manufactured components.
  • Operate overhead cranes, forklifts, and floor jacks as needed.
  • Inspect completed work to ensure quality standards are met and make adjustments as necessary.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
  • Document completed installations using technology as required.
  • Communicate with supervisors regarding inventory levels, parts needs, and workflow updates.
  • Assist coworkers to support department goals and meet production deadlines.
Assembler Requirements and Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude with experience or ability to learn assembly processes.
  • Ability to read and follow work instructions, diagrams, and specifications.
  • Skilled in the safe use of hand and power tools.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Preferred: Experience in custom assembly, fabrication, or installation environments.
  • Vocational or technical training in automotive, industrial mechanics, welding, electrical, or hydraulic systems is a plus.

$19/hour (based on experience).
