Prepares and administers an annual operating budget for the body shop. Develops and implements a marketing plan. Builds and maintains good working relations with insurance adjusters. Understands, keeps abreast of, and complies with federal, state, and local regulations that affect normal operations, such as hazardous waste disposal, OSHA Right-to-Know, etc. Examines damaged vehicles to determine the degree of structural and mechanical damage, as well as damage to the bodywork and the insides of the vehicles. Evaluates the cost of labor and parts to repair or replace each damaged part. Reviews repair cost estimates with the body shop foreman. Monitors technicians' daily productivity reports and corresponding payroll records.
