Performance Foodservice, a leading food distributor delivering more than 150,000 food and food-related products nationwide, is seeking a dependable CDL A Delivery Driver for our night shift within the Transportation & Logistics department. In this role, you will safely operate a CDL Class A tractor-trailer to deliver food and restaurant supply products to a variety of customers, from family-owned restaurants to large national chains. Working primarily overnight, you will load, transport, and unload products using pallet jacks, hand trucks, and lift gates, ensuring each delivery is accurate, on time, and handled with the highest level of customer service. As a CDL A Delivery Driver, you will perform pre- and post-trip inspections, follow all DOT and company safety regulations, and maintain accurate delivery documentation, including invoices, manifests, and electronic logs. You will interact directly with customers at each stop, verifying orders, addressing basic questions or issues, and representing Performance Foodservice in a professional, courteous manner. The position requires frequent lifting, carrying, and maneuvering of cases and products weighing up to 75 pounds, as well as safely navigating tight docks, alleys, and delivery locations. You will work closely with dispatch, routing, and warehouse teams in a team-oriented environment that values innovation and exceptional customer service. Night shift schedules generally include overnight departures, weekend and holiday rotations, and overtime as needed to meet customer demand. This position offers full-time, stable employment with competitive pay, overtime opportunities, and access to excellent benefits and career growth within the foodservice distribution industry. Successful candidates will have a valid CDL Class A license, a safe driving record, previous commercial driving or delivery experience (preferably in foodservice or route delivery), and strong attention to safety and detail. You should be comfortable using onboard computers or handheld devices for routing and proof of delivery, and able to work independently on the road while still contributing to a collaborative, customer-focused culture at Performance Foodservice.
