EMT Paramedic Opportunity

This position requires an active US government security clearance. If you do not have a clearance, please do not apply. SG2 Recruiting has partnered with Lumbee Holdings to spearhead the search for a visionary EMT - Paramedic. This is a pivotal opportunity to join a dynamic team and directly influence the company's next phase of growth. If you are a strategic thinker ready to make a tangible impact, we want to hear from you.

Company Overview: Lumbee Holdings is a dynamic, mission-focused organization dedicated to delivering premier operational and medical support services to federal and military agencies. We pride ourselves on cultivating a collaborative, high-performance culture where innovation and mission-readiness thrive. By joining our team, you will contribute directly to critical medical training and readiness programs that safeguard and prepare those who protect our nation.

Your Role

As an EMT Paramedic, you will provide critical, independent medical support for high-risk training operations, tactical missions, and clinical facilities at Fort Belvoir. Working under the guidance of established administrative policies and military treatment facility (MTF) protocols, you will bridge the gap between clinical excellence and field operations. This role is a unique blend of primary outpatient care, emergency field response, and advanced medical instruction, making you an invaluable asset to the readiness and safety of our Service members.

What You Will Be Doing
  • Plan and Coordinate: Design and execute comprehensive medical support plans and safety protocols for high-risk training scenarios, field operations, and tactical missions.
  • Instruct and Educate: Deliver high-quality instruction to Service members on critical medical topics, including Tactical Combat Casualty Care (TCCC), Basic/Advanced Trauma Life Support, Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), and travel medicine.
  • Provide Clinical & Emergency Care: Deliver a full spectrum of clinical support at aid stations and in the field, including emergency ambulance response, in-flight response, patient transfers, and transport services.
  • Evaluate and Treat: Assess and manage emergent, urgent, and non-emergent patients across all demographics (ranging from infants to the elderly) and initiate rapid life-saving interventions when necessary.
  • Manage Medical Records: Maintain highly accurate clinical charts and process laboratory, imaging, and pharmaceutical requests within 72 hours of care using DoD databases (AHLTA and Defense Ready).
  • Execute Medical Orders: Transcribe and administer physician/nursing instructions involving patient activity, diets, and medications in accordance with Joint Command guidelines.
  • Facilitate Logistics & Resupply: Manage Class VIII medical resupply operations for deploying personnel and administer routine immunizations under the direct supervision of a licensed provider.
  • Support Field Realism: Perform designated Opposing Forces (OPFOR) roles as required during mock field exercises to maximize training realism.
What You Will Need Must-Haves
  • Professional Certification: Active National Registry (NREMT-P) and/or state Paramedic certification.
  • Tactical Medical Experience: Proven experience planning and executing medical support in high-risk training environments or tactical field scenarios.
  • Instructional Capabilities: Strong background in medical education, with the capability or active credentials to instruct TCCC, PALS, and advanced trauma care courses.
  • Security Clearance: Ability to successfully obtain and maintain a TS/SCI security clearance.
  • Technical Proficiency: Comfort navigating complex database systems for patient charting and medical transcription.
Nice-to-Haves
  • Active Security Clearance: Current Top Secret (TS) or TS/SCI clearance is highly preferred.
  • Military Health Systems Experience: Prior experience using DoD medical systems such as AHLTA and Defense Ready.
  • Outpatient Clinic Experience: Previous background assisting in a military outpatient or primary care clinic.

Location: Fort Belvoir, Virginia (On-site, Full-time)

Schedule: Standard business hours (Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.)

Salary Range: $110,000 - $120,000

Travel Requirements: Anticipated to be less than 20% within the Continental United States (CONUS).

Mental and Physical Demands:

  • Physical Strength & Agility: You must be physically capable of lifting, transferring, and carrying patients, specialized medical gear, and gurneys—frequently from awkward or confined positions.
  • Mobility & Terrain Navigation: You must maintain excellent physical balance, agility, and mobility to navigate rough, uneven, or challenging outdoor terrain and climb flights of stairs while carrying clinical gear.
  • Cognitive & Emotional Resilience: You must demonstrate the ability to maintain absolute focus, composure, and critical decision-making capabilities under high-stress, rapid-response medical situations.

Related Duties as Assigned: Perform additional operational, administrative, or clinical duties as assigned by the Program Manager to ensure overall program compliance, safety, and mission success.
