Horizon Air is seeking a safety-focused, reliable Ground/Ramp Service Agent to support our Airlines, Airports & Air Transportation operations within the Transportation & Logistics department. As a Ground/Ramp Service Agent, you play a critical role in ensuring on-time, safe, and efficient turnaround of our regional aircraft serving smaller communities across the Western U.S. and Canada. In this role, you will work primarily on the airport ramp, performing hands-on tasks such as loading and unloading baggage, cargo, and mail; operating ground support equipment; marshaling and parking aircraft; positioning cones and chocks; de-icing aircraft as needed; and assisting with towing and pushback under proper supervision. You will follow strict safety, security, and operational procedures at all times to protect customers, coworkers, aircraft, and equipment. You will interact directly with flight crews, station agents, and other ramp personnel to support smooth operations and excellent customer service. This includes handling priority and special baggage, supporting on-time departures, responding quickly to irregular operations or weather events, and communicating clearly and respectfully in a fast-paced environment. You will be expected to work outdoors in all weather conditions, on your feet for extended periods, and lift, push, and pull heavy items repeatedly. Horizon Air fosters a culture of safety, collaboration, and excellence, with a strong emphasis on customer service, employee empowerment, and community involvement. As a Ground/Ramp Service Agent, you will be trained on Horizon Air’s ramp safety practices, equipment operation, and customer-focused service standards. You will also uphold our values of diversity, inclusion, and teamwork while contributing to a supportive and respectful work environment. This position is suited for individuals who enjoy physical, hands-on work, thrive in a high-energy setting, and take pride in doing their part to keep flights running safely and on time. Horizon Air offers opportunities for growth in the aviation sector, including career advancement into lead, training, or supervisory roles, as well as pathways into other operations and customer service positions within Alaska Air Group. Ground/Ramp Service Agents typically work a full-time schedule that may include early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays, based on operational needs. In return, Horizon Air offers competitive pay, comprehensive benefits, and access to training programs designed to help you build a long-term career in aviation.
