Job Description

Job Description

We are a Southern California-based leader in fire life safety and security integration, with over 40 years of experience supporting healthcare and other mission-critical environments. Our teams deliver fully integrated solutions—from engineering and design to installation, testing, service, and long-term support—ensuring reliability, compliance, and performance across every phase of a project.

We are seeking an experienced Healthcare Project Manager to lead fire alarm and security integration projects within active hospital and medical environments. This role requires a strong understanding of healthcare construction constraints, life safety systems, and the ability to manage complex, multi-phase projects with minimal disruption to patient care and facility operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and oversee fire alarm and integrated security projects across healthcare facilities, ensuring compliance with NFPA codes, OSHPD requirements, and healthcare-specific standards.

  • Lead full project lifecycle execution including planning, scheduling, budgeting, installation, testing, and final turnover.

  • Coordinate with field teams, subcontractors, hospital staff, and AHJs to maintain project flow in active healthcare environments.

  • Oversee installation and integration of fire alarm systems (EST), access control (Lenel), nurse call/communications (Ascom), and related security systems such as CCTV and intrusion detection.

  • Ensure adherence to ICRA protocols, infection control measures, and patient safety standards throughout all phases of construction.

  • Manage RFIs, submittals, change orders, and closeout documentation while maintaining accurate project tracking and reporting.

  • Conduct site walks, QA/QC inspections, and coordinate system testing, commissioning, and inspections.

  • Maintain project budgets, forecast labor/material needs, and ensure projects are delivered on time and within scope.

  • Provide leadership and direction to field teams, ensuring quality, accountability, and adherence to company standards.

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of Project Management experience in fire alarm, security integration, or low voltage systems—preferably in healthcare environments.

  • Proven experience managing complex projects in active hospital settings or other high-compliance environments.

  • Hands-on experience with systems such as EST (fire alarm), Lenel (access control), and Ascom (nurse call/communications) strongly preferred.

  • Strong understanding of NFPA (including NFPA 72), NEC, and healthcare construction protocols (ICRA, OSHPD).

  • Ability to interpret construction drawings, riser diagrams, and system schematics.

  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.

  • Ability to operate professionally in sensitive, patient-focused environments.

  • OSHA 30 preferred.

  • NICET, PMP, or manufacturer certifications are a plus.

Benefits & Compensation:

  • Competitive base salary of $110,000 – $133,000 per year, depending on experience

  • Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance

  • 401(k) plan with company match

  • Paid time off and company holidays

  • Ongoing training and certification support

Why Work With Us:

Join a Southern California leader in fire life safety and security integration, specializing in healthcare environments. Work on high-impact projects that support patient safety, backed by strong teams and full in-house capabilities from design through long-term support.

We offer a collaborative, growth-focused culture with ongoing training, exposure to advanced systems like EST, Lenel, and Ascom, and clear paths for advancement. If you're looking for stability, technical depth, and meaningful work—this is it.
