Instrument Technician

We are seeking experienced Instrument Technicians for an upcoming refinery shutdown. This position requires a highly skilled professional with extensive refinery or plant experience who can safely and efficiently support turnaround activities. Candidates must be willing to travel throughout Texas as needed.

Responsibilities

• Install, calibrate, troubleshoot, and repair instrumentation and control systems
• Perform loop checks, commissioning, and functional testing
• Maintain and service transmitters, control valves, analyzers, and associated field instrumentation
• Read and interpret P&IDs, loop drawings, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals
• Ensure compliance with all refinery safety procedures and shutdown protocols
• Work collaboratively with operations, maintenance, and engineering teams
• Complete required documentation accurately and on time

Minimum Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of experience in a refinery or industrial plant environment
• NCCER Certification (Required)
• TWIC Card (Required)
• Valid Driver's License (Required)
• Safety Essentials Training (Required)
• Strong working knowledge of industrial instrumentation and control systems
• Ability to work extended hours, including overtime, during shutdown
• Ability to pass required background check and drug screening

Work Conditions

• Industrial refinery environment
• Extended hours and physically demanding work during turnaround
• Travel required throughout Texas
• Per diem provided for eligible travel assignments
