Growing together.The Medical Assistant provides clinical support to physicians and other clinical staff. The MA assists in examination and treatment of patients under direction of physician. The MA ensures that the clinical environment is cleaned, stocked, and ready for patient care.Primary Responsibilities:Patient Care:Interview patients, measure vital signs, such as pulse rate, temperature, blood pressure, weight, and height, and records information in patient recordsMaintain patient flowPerform phlebotomies as neededPrepare specimens and test requests and forwards to lab; ensure tests and charges are recorded in EMRPerform EKGsAdminister immunizations and perform simple procedures as directed by physician or supervisorClinical Maintenance:Prepare treatment rooms for examination of patientsMaintain the clinical environment: Cleans, stocks all patient care areas and cleans instruments dailySubmit supply orders to Lead MA or Nurse ManagerMaintain cleaning schedule log per OSHA planMonitor hazardous waste pickupAssist in keeping refrigerators cleanWorks with front desk to ensure patient flowYou'll be rewarded and recognized for your performance in an environment that will challenge you and give you clear direction on what it takes to succeed in your role as well as provide development for other roles you may be interested in.Required Qualifications:1+ years of experience in medical office and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experiencePreferred Qualifications:BCLSGraduate of Medical Assistant ProgramCNA CertificationCMA or RMA CertificationPay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). The hourly pay for this role will range from $16.00 to $29.00 per hour based on full-time employment.
