Marshfield Clinic – Marshfield Children’s is seeking a Monitor/Video Technician to support high-quality pediatric care within our integrated Healthcare & Medical Services department. In this role, you will be responsible for operating, monitoring, and troubleshooting video and physiological monitoring systems used to observe pediatric patients in inpatient and outpatient settings. Working closely with nurses, physicians, and allied health professionals, you will ensure that live video feeds, telemetry monitors, and related digital systems are functioning properly so care teams can respond rapidly to changes in a child’s condition. The Monitor/Video Technician will continuously observe multiple patient video and monitoring screens, promptly recognize and report alarms, unusual activity, or technical issues, and document events according to established procedures. You will configure and calibrate cameras, monitors, and recording devices; verify appropriate patient identifiers and camera placement; maintain clear, secure image quality; and assist with the storage, retrieval, and archiving of video and monitoring data in compliance with privacy, security, and regulatory standards. This position also supports staff by setting up equipment for remote consultations, telehealth encounters, and multidisciplinary conferences, ensuring connectivity, audio/video clarity, and reliable performance. The role requires strong attention to detail, excellent situational awareness, and the ability to work accurately in a fast-paced, pediatric clinical environment while maintaining empathy and respect for patients and families. You will collaborate with care teams to improve workflows, participate in training on new monitoring technologies, and contribute to a culture of compassion, integrity, safety, and continuous improvement. Marshfield Clinic Health System offers a collaborative, patient-first environment that values teamwork, innovation, and staff well-being through education, wellness resources, and work-life balance. As a Monitor/Video Technician, you will have opportunities to grow your skills within a large, regional pediatric system, engage with multidisciplinary teams, and support clinical excellence, research, and education in the care of children and families across central and northern Wisconsin.
