Client: State of IA Job ID: 725941 Job Description: IWD is looking to hire an experienced QA Performance tester to prepare test plans, test cases, automation test scripts and also execute tests to ensure that Unemployment Insurance Tax applications are secure, scalable, robust and high performing.

Iowa Workforce Development (IWD) is a state agency committed to providing re-employment services for job seekers. We are looking to hire an experienced Quality Analyst for our Unemployment Insurance (UI) Tax Modernization Project. This individual will be part of a talented software team that works on mission-critical applications using Agile methodologies. The project aims to modernize IWD's UI Tax system by re-architecting its components to industry leading architecture and frameworks, with the goal of providing better service to both the agency staff and the end-users while positioning the agency for future technological improvements. Looking for resources that have experience using Apache JMeter
This individual will be responsible for preparing test plans, test cases, and test scripts, while executing tests to ensure the Tax applications are secure, scalable, robust, and high performing in nature.
Skills/Experience Required:
Requirements
• Experience testing modern frameworks, both desktop and mobile applications
• Experience testing APIs
• Experience developing test strategy for functional testing
• Experience developing and executing test plans
• Experience processing test results, compiling/analyzing statistical data, reporting defects/errors
• Strong understanding of performance best practices including JVM settings
• Experience drafting quality assurance standards, policies and procedures
• Ability to lead performance optimization efforts with a strong command of complex performance issues and the ability to direct component owners (network, database, appdev, server OS/WAS, storage, etc.)
• Leverage profiling tools (i.e. Dynatrace & AppDynamics) to analyze and define performance characteristics of an application, recommend enhancements, and trouble shoot bottlenecks
• Performance trouble shooting (heap dump & thread dump analysis)
• Performance results preparation and presentation for large efforts
• Proficient in application monitoring and performance testing tools like AppDynamics, Apache Jmeter
• Proficient in tools like Jira, SoapUI, Postman, Git, BitBucket, SQL
• Demonstrate strong verbal and written communication skills
