Performance Responsibilities: Ability to pass DOT physical fitness assessment. Obeys all traffic laws and rules and regulations of the MSD of Pike Township. Observes all mandatory safety regulations for school buses. Maintains discipline when students are on the bus. Follows the adopted discipline plan. Keeps assigned bus clean. Keeps to assigned schedule and assigned route. Checks the bus before each operation for mechanical defects. Notifies the Transportation Office in case of mechanical failure or lateness. Discharges students only at authorized stops. Transports only authorized students. Reports all accidents and completes required reports. Exercises responsible leadership when on out-of-district school trips. Enforces school bus rules and regulations for students. Monitors running time/mileage and brings bus in for routine maintenance. Keeps appropriate fuel usage records. Completes work order for required service and repair. Performs such other tasks and assumes such other responsibilities as required by the transportation supervisor or his/her designee may assign. Training: Free School Bus CDL Training is available for qualified candidates once the following tests are passed at your local Indiana Bureau of Motor Vehicles: General Knowledge, Passenger Transport, School Bus and Air Brakes. #J-18808-Ljbffr
