Private Full-Time Housekeeper/Laundress needed in New York City- Upper West side/Long Island.



Position: Full-Time Housekeeper/Laundress in UWS NYC, and Long Island in the Summer (June-Aug)

• Schedule: 10-6 Wednesday-Sunday
• Salary: $38-$42/hour depending on experience.
• Start Date: ASAP

About the Family: A private, high-profile family is seeking a proactive, highly organized, and capable Housekeeper/Laundress to care for their home Wednesday-Sunday, 40 hours a week. Overtime will be paid if ever worked over 40 hours. The ideal candidate will be always one step ahead, able to manage day-to-day Housekeeping, deep cleans as needed, Detailed housekeeping, organizing, care for all laundry and linens, care for specialty items, iron, etc. Discretion, professionalism, and good judgment are a must. This is a role for someone who is polished, self-motivated, and thrives in a support position where they can bring calm, structure, cleanliness, organization, and order to a dynamic home environment. The main duties of the position are Housekeeping, laundry, ironing, and linen care. The candidate mut be skilled in laundry care and excel in this area for the position. There are other Housekeepers in the home, so being a team player is a must.

• Pets: 1 dog- Havanese, 1 Cat

Ideal Candidate & Personality: The ideal candidate is proactive, trustworthy, and confident in their skills. They should be proactive, discrete, and friendly with others as this is a busy home. There are children (13-year-old twins). Someone comfortable around children is needed as well.


Requirements

• Prior experience in a similar role in a private household
• Must have experience with fine laundry items
• Excellent references
• Legal to work in the United States
• Comfortable with dogs
• English speaking required
