Summer Marketing Intern

Freedom Energy Logistics is seeking a Marketing Intern to assist with our digital and traditional marketing initiatives. This role involves developing marketing strategies and campaigns to increase brand awareness and audience engagement. The position offers hands-on experience in digital marketing, podcast development, content creation, event coordination, and analytical performance metrics. The intern will collaborate across departments to help drive brand awareness and support business growth.

The ideal candidate is proficient in digital marketing and social platforms, has a creative mindset, and understands strategic marketing principles. Knowledge of Martek tools and analytics is a plus. This role offers hands-on marketing experience within the energy industry.

Job Responsibilities:

• Assist in the development and implementation of digital, social, and traditional marketing strategies to enhance brand visibility and engagement. This includes participating in the planning and execution of campaigns designed to increase awareness and drive audience interaction across multiple channels.
• Assist in the management and optimization of paid advertising campaigns across multiple platforms. Support the analysis and adjustment of campaign performance to maximize effectiveness and return on investment.
• Support the development, production, and promotion of company podcasts. Contribute to content creation, scheduling, and outreach to engage listeners and expand the podcast audience.
• Create and schedule engaging content for social channels, monitor activity, and respond to community interactions. Help maintain a consistent brand voice and foster active engagement with followers.
• Help organize and promote events, including managing logistics, coordinating communications, and providing on-site support. Ensure effective promotion and smooth execution of company events.
• Contribute to website content updates, analytics tracking, and digital initiatives to enhance user experience. Assist with content management and monitor analytics to support ongoing improvements.
• Create engaging content across various platforms, including social media, stories, videos, and email campaigns. Ensure content is tailored for each medium to maximize audience reach and engagement.
• Collaborate with the marketing team to ensure campaigns align with overall marketing objectives. Participate in team meetings and contribute to the strategic direction of marketing efforts.

Job Qualifications and Skills:

• Candidates should possess a background in Marketing, demonstrating a strong understanding of digital marketing, paid search, and podcast development. An interest in the energy industry is highly valued.
• Applicants are expected to hold a basic grasp of marketing concepts and tools. This includes familiarity with social media platforms, content creation, lead generation, and analytics.
• Experience with HubSpot, Salesforce, WordPress, Google Analytics, AI, and Canva is desirable, reflecting an ability to utilize a range of marketing and analytics technologies effectively.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential for this role.
• Strong organizational and project management abilities are required to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
• The ability to work collaboratively within a team environment is necessary to support collective goals.
• Creative thinking and effective problem-solving skills are expected from candidates.
• Basic knowledge of SEO/SEM and Google Analytics is considered advantageous.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, is required.
• Attention to detail and a willingness to learn are important qualities for success in this position.
• Candidates should be self-motivated, possess a positive attitude, and exhibit a strong work ethic.
• Basic expertise in SEO and AI agents is valued, with experience in content creation, scheduling, and analytics regarded as advantageous.
• Effective communication and organizational skills are essential, along with the ability to efficiently manage tasks and collaborate as part of a team.
• Experience with paid advertising platforms (LinkedIn Ads, Google Ads)
• Relevant marketing certifications (HubSpot, Google Ads, SEMrush)
• Interest in podcast development
• Experience or interest in customer segmentation and reporting

Requirements:

• Currently enrolled in a BA/BS program in Marketing, Communications, Business, Martek, or a related area.
• Previous internship experience in marketing, email marketing, or social media is valuable.
• Fundamental knowledge of digital marketing tools and strategies.
• Interest in the energy, renewables, or sustainability sector.
• Availability for a full-time internship for a minimum duration of 8 weeks.

Work Environment:

While performing the job's responsibilities, the environment will generally include working in an office setting. There may be occasional local travel to clients, industry or press events.
