Outpatient MAT Opioid Treatment Program (OTP) – Addiction Medicine Physician Join our team at Canton Comprehensive Treatment Center and Mansfield Comprehensive Treatment Center (CTC) as an Addiction Medicine Physician, where your expertise and compassion will make a lasting impact on the lives of individuals seeking recovery. As a key member of our medical team, you’ll play a critical role in providing medication‑assisted treatment, conducting comprehensive physicals, and guiding patients on their path to wellness. Working in collaboration with our dedicated staff and under the guidance of the Medical Director, you'll ensure the highest standards of care while fostering an environment of support and healing. Our Team Canton Comprehensive Treatment Center (CTC), located in Massillon, Ohio; Mansfield Comprehensive Treatment Center (CTC), located in Mansfield, Ohio; and Cleveland Comprehensive Treatment Center (CTC), located in Cleveland, Ohio. They are part of Acadia Healthcare's Comprehensive Treatment Centers, the leading provider of medication‑assisted treatment in the nation. Our team provides compassionate, high‑quality counseling, therapy, medication, and guidance to patients seeking recovery from Opioid Use Disorder. Age Group/Range: Adults Practice Setting/Type: Outpatient OTP Full‑Time Schedule: Monday through Thursday, 7am to 12pm. One day a week in Canton, one in Mansfield, and two days in Cleveland. Your Role As An Addiction Medicine Physician Prescribe, dispense and administer medication for the treatment of substance use in accordance with all applicable federal and state laws and regulations. Perform complete physical examinations of patients admitted for medication maintenance to establish medical diagnosis for acute and chronic health problems. Review medical information on patients to ensure medical stability, eligibility for the program, and to offer medical recommendations. Ensure all patients are aware of the hazards of the medication treatment program. Evaluate patient care, adjusting the plan of care based on outcomes, diagnostic test results and patient feedback. Provide patient and staff education on medical maintenance. Complete documentation for individual care plans, maintaining appropriate confidential documentation, compliance and billing in accordance with policy and procedures. Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations, CARF standards and clinic policies and procedures. Perform other duties as assigned. Develop constructive and cooperative working relationships with others and maintain them over time. Encourage and build mutual trust, respect and cooperation among team members. Compensation Compensation for roles at Canton CTC varies depending on a wide array of factors, including but not limited to the specific location, role, skill set, and level of experience. As required by local law, Canton CTC provides a reasonable hourly range of compensation for roles that may be hired in Ohio as set forth above. Qualifications Doctoral degree in Medicine (MD or DO) from an accredited college or university. Previous experience in addiction recovery or behavioral health settings, such as outpatient, residential or correctional facilities, is preferred. Familiarity with Medication‑Assisted Treatment (MAT), including methadone, buprenorphine, and naltrexone. Familiarity with state regulatory standards (e.g., 42 CFR Part 2, HIPAA, Joint Commission standards). No history of alcohol or drug misuse for a period of three years before employment. Licenses / Designations / Certifications Current license to practice medicine by the state of Ohio. Board certification, or certificate of admissibility for board certification, is preferred. Current DEA credentials are required to prescribe controlled substances without restrictions and per regulation within the state in which the practitioner will be working.
