Job Description
Job Responsibilities:
- Primarily responsible for the execution of the mine plan through the effective use of the Command for Mine Star Hauling system. Responsible for data accuracy and correct blend management in accordance with my plan.
- Prioritize work to meet shift objectives. Follow specific operating procedures. Complete and validate shift reports, shift turnover, and document all issues requiring follow-up. Employ production efficient practices, e.g., decision support, travel progress, and status page.
- Set the workplace health and safety culture within control operations. Develop and implement safety procedures and protocols for the autonomous haul truck system. Comply and adhere to all company policies, regulations, and procedures. Report autonomous-related incidents as soon as practicable. Participate in safety meetings, investigations, and safety programs.
- Monitor operations/processes and system performance to ensure key performance indicators are met. Communicate with affected parties when plans or decisions are modified.
- Liaise with other departments, internal and external, to coordinate activities, including but not limited to maintenance, engineering, etc.
- Provide training and coaching as needed to other personnel.
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Personal protective equipment is required when performing work in a mine, outdoor, manufacturing, or plant environment, including a hard hat, hearing protection, safety glasses, safety footwear, and, as needed, a respirator, rubber steel-toe boots, protective clothing, gloves, and any other protective equipment as required.
- Promotes a drug/alcohol-free work environment through the use of mandatory pre-employment drug testing and ongoing random drug testing as allowed by applicable state laws
Skills:
- Experience with Fleet Management Systems such as MineStar Fleet and/or Modular Mining Dispatch
- Engineering experience
- Diverse work experience in various areas of the mining processes
- Conflict management – able to deal with difficult people or situations.
- Influencing others – get work done through others and be able to effectively manage up.
- Negotiation skills – ability to be able to achieve target outcomes in an environment of competing priorities
- Ability to understand and apply verbal and written work and safety-related instructions and procedures in English
- Ability to communicate in English with respect to job assignments, job procedures, and applicable safety standards
- Proficiency in computer operation and application
- Organizational and priority setting - able to make complex decisions and prioritize outcomes
- Candidates may be required to pass a medical exam.
- Candidates must pass all required training and/or testing.
- Employees may be required to work a non-standard schedule, which may include shift work (other than day shift) at a 24/7, 365-day operation.

Education/Experience:
- High School diploma or GED, and five (5) years of related operational experience, including supervisory or lead experience, OR
- Bachelor’s Degree in a technical mining-related discipline with at least one summer internship experience (or equivalent) working in a mining or industrial environment
