About the Role
The Company is seeking a Chief Risk Officer (CRO) to lead and enhance its risk, compliance, information security, BSA, and CRA programs. The CRO will be responsible for the efficient governance of risks and the development and monitoring of the Enterprise Risk Management Program. This role involves partnering with the business leadership team to identify and address relevant risks, implementing meaningful risk reporting, and ensuring the company's risk management framework aligns with business strategy, regulatory requirements, and risk appetite. The CRO will also oversee compliance with consumer protection laws, BSA requirements, and maintain robust information security policies to protect customer data. Candidates for the CRO position at the company must have a Bachelor's degree and significant experience in banking risk and compliance, with a focus on consumer and community banking. The role requires a strategic leader who can provide support and guidance on enterprise risk management, conduct regular risk assessments, and develop strategies to mitigate and manage identified risks. The CRO will also be responsible for operational risk management, including fraud prevention, business continuity planning, and crisis management.
