General Manager – Upscale Restaurant

$110,000 - $120,000 + $45K in Bonus Potential

This established hospitality group is seeking an experienced and driven General Manager to lead one of its upscale restaurant, offering a competitive compensation package, comprehensive benefits, and strong growth potential.

DESCRIPTION:

The General Manager provides overall leadership and direction for the restaurant, driving performance across sales, profitability, team development, guest experience, and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead all front- and back-of-house operations for this high-volume, upscale restaurant, ensuring exceptional guest experiences and consistent execution
  • Drive revenue, profitability, and P&L performance through disciplined labor management, cost controls, and strategic decision-making
  • Build, mentor, and inspire a high-performing management team and large hourly staff, fostering accountability, culture, and retention
  • Partner closely with culinary and beverage leadership to maintain excellence in food quality, wine service, and bar performance
  • Maintain operational systems, policies, and procedures to ensure consistency, compliance, and brand standards
  • Lead hiring, training, performance management, and succession planning across all departments
  • Collaborate with executive leadership on business strategy, growth initiatives, and long-term planning
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, labor, and liquor regulations

DESIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

  • 3+ years of experience as a General Manager for a high volume ($10M+) upscale or fine dining restaurant
  • Proven leader in high-touch, guest-driven environments with a deep understanding of upscale dining service standards and hospitality
  • Demonstrated success building, mentoring, and retaining high-performing restaurant teams
  • Ability to partner closely with culinary leadership to maintain food quality, presentation, and guest satisfaction standards
  • Strong financial acumen with proven success managing budgets, labor targets, and cost controls
  • Excellent communication & interpersonal skills, calm and patient, approachable and kind
