EDUCATION REQUIREMENT
- Bachelor's Degree and 5 Years of Commensurate Experience
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE
- 5+ years in Federal, DoD, and U.S. Army Human Resources arenas
- Military HR management functions: Man the Force, Provide, Coordinate, Conduct Military HR Services
- Experience with IPPS-A, AOS, INSCOM CORE database, Army Career Tracker (ACT), PAM
- In-depth knowledge of Army and Civilian Honorary awards and applicable Army regulations
- Ability to authenticate military permanent orders IAW Army Regulations
REQUIRED SKILLS
- Proficiency in Army HR systems (IPPS-A, AOS, CORE, ACT, PAM)
- Knowledge of various Human Resource Systems
- Able to type 45 WPM
- Excellent proofreading / attention to detail
- Database entry abilities
- Ability to interpret regulatory guidance
- Proficient in Microsoft Office 13 products
- Knowledge of office machines (print, scan, fax)
TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide administrative support to INSCOM Military and Civilian Honorary Awards programs (Foreign Badges, Foreign Awards, Unit Awards, Command Recognition)
- Review award recommendations using IPPS-A; process IAW AR 600-8-22 and local INSCOM policy
- Review and process award recommendations NLT 2 working days upon receipt
- Prepare board packets weekly; award certificates and medals upon request; disposition NLT 3 working days
- Process awards within 5 working days of approval; ensure certificates are error-free
- Maintain award files IAW ARIMS; maintain awards tracker and orders log daily
- Execute award distribution runs 3x/week or as needed; prepare annual Awards Report for HQDA
- Update AMHRR and upload award documents to iPERMS within 20 duty days
- Assist with Essential Personnel Services, Promotions, Military Transfers/Discharges, Leaves/Passes, Military Pay, Officer Accessions, Records Review, SFPA, UCFR, IPPS-A reporting, Personnel Actions
- Assist in administering field and HQ rating schemes
- Manage HR programs: TASP, ADPAAS, Green to Gold, Meal Entitlement, CCA, AIP, SDAP, LOD Investigations, Army Voting Assistance
- Process HR actions in appropriate systems IAW Army regulatory guidance and org SOP
- Brief senior leaders, staff, and MSC S1 staff on HR initiatives and programs
- Assist in planning and coordinating INSCOM HR policies and procedures
- Compose letters of commendation/appreciation and condolence for command group release
- Liaise with HRC, Army G-1, G-2 to reconcile issues and resolve problems
- Monitor, track, and collate personnel input from INSCOM HQs and lower echelons
- Publish daily casualty updates for INSCOM leadership as required
- Review operations and casualty reports from all areas of operation for INSCOM casualties
- Manage KIA and WIA databases; ensure condolence/memorialization letters to next of kin
- Assist in composing information papers and policy memorandums on casualty reporting
- Provide G1 representation at INSCOM Mission Command Center (IMCC) for HR matters
- Monitor, update, and compile overseas TDY and deployment rosters; provide weekly deployed personnel roster to Commander/COS/Directors
