Job Description

Doral Health & Wellness is hiring a dedicated Patient Care Technician (PCT) to join our growing dialysis team in Brooklyn, NY. As a PCT technician in our unit, you’ll play a vital role in supporting patients with kidney disease by delivering safe, hands-on care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse and Clinical Nurse Manager.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare and prime dialysis machines and extracorporeal circuits.
Record and monitor patients' vital signs and weight before, during, and after treatment.
Assist with initiating and terminating dialysis treatments under RN supervision.
Monitor dialysis parameters, troubleshoot equipment, and report abnormal findings.
Obtain and prepare blood samples for lab transport.
Ensure proper infection control and safety practices at all times.
Support patients with positioning, transfers, and mobility as needed.
Collaborate with the care team, including RNs, PCTs, and dialysis technicians, to deliver high-quality care.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent required.
Certified Patient Care Technician (PCT) or Dialysis Technician (state-approved or nationally recognized program).
Current CPR certification (or must obtain within 60 days of hire).
Previous dialysis or PCT technician experience preferred.
Strong attention to detail, teamwork, and communication skills.
Bilingual in Spanish is highly preferred.
