Job Summary (Essential Functions)

Oversee retail operations in the Tennis Pro Shop including merchandising, promotions, managing staff, inventory, revenue growth, and member engagement.

• Meet and exceed retail sales targets.
• Drive revenue through production selection and promotions.
• Monitor daily, weekly, and monthly sales performance.
• Identify trends and adjust inventory accordingly.
• Manage ordering, receiving, and stock levels.
• Maintain appropriate inventory based on season and demand.
• Track best-selling items and slow-moving products.
• Conduct regular inventory counts and audits.
• Create attractive and high-end retail displays.
• Rotate merchandise regularly to keep the shop fresh.
• Ensure displays reflect club standards and brand image.
• Maintain clean, organized, and visually appealing space.
• Develop creative promotion and sales events.
• Coordinate with Director of Tennis on events, clinics, and tournaments.
• Introduce seasonal promotions (holiday, tournaments)
• Increase traffic into the shop.
• Provide personalized service and product recommendations.
• Build relationships with members.

Job Knowledge, Core Competencies, and Expectations

• Able to operate a point-of-sale (POS) system.
• Outstanding customer service skills.
• Knowledge of racquet sports and fitness preferred.
• Knowledge of and ability to perform required role in emergency situations.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
