Description The Software Engineer I supports software design, development, and maintenance tasks in a NAVSEA Program Office Support role. This role contributes to coding, testing, and technical documentation under senior engineering direction. This position is contingent upon award. Award is expected in 3-6 months. Requirements Academic or internship experience developing software in structured project environments. Familiarity with source control, issue tracking, and software testing fundamentals. Strong problem-solving and debugging skills. Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field such as engineering or mathematics. No required professional experience. Ability to support software lifecycle tasks and follow engineering standards/processes. Strong written and verbal communication skills.
