Title: Summer School Bus Detailer/Cleaner
Salary: $15.00/hour

Hours: 6 hrs per day / 4 days per week

Summer Bus Cleaning - (Temporary Position)

Position Purpose
Annual detailed cleaning of entire Emmett School District yellow bus fleet. This includes detailed cleaning of the interior and exterior, including waxing. This work prepares the fleet for the 2025-2026 school year.
The position is Monday through Thursday for 6 hours each day from 7am to 1pm.
The needed timeframe is June 9 through July 30. Limited absences.

Essential Job Functions

• Ability to bend, stoop, stand, & sit for extended periods of time.
• Repetitive arm motions of wiping in a circular or "V" pattern on windows and bus surfaces.
• Washing bus exteriors using a heated pressure washer and hose. Scrub brooms and buckets.
• Vacuuming floors and crevices on the interior of the bus.
• Wipe down all seats, interior walls, dash area, ceilings, scrub, and mop floors.
• Will be exposed to cleaning chemicals and waxing products.
• Waxing the exterior of buses may require the use of ladders or scaffolding.
• Report any damage found during the cleaning process to cleaning lead.
• Follow all applicable safety rules, and procedures while performing all tasks.
• Complete all Safe School training as required by the Emmett School District.
• Report for work on-time each day, and work a full shift.
• Perform any other related duties as assigned

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Ability to perform physical labor- lifting, scrubbing, climbing up and down ladders.
• Bending, stooping, kneeling, and reaching overhead repeatedly.
• Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with others in the course of the day with a diverse group of teammates.
• This is a smoke/vape-free facility and grounds.

Qualifications Profile:

• Ability to pass a criminal history background check.
• Must be able to lift to 50 lbs.
• Minimum age = 17yrs.
