PRN / Part-Time Office Assistant (Home Care Agency) – Maryland

Location: Maryland (Home Care Agency – Office-Based)
Position Type: PRN / Part-Time
Schedule: Flexible, as needed (PRN) – Weekday and weekend availability required. Scheduling details will be discussed during the interview.
Starting Pay: $18.00/hour
Note: Hours are not guaranteed. Employment is contingent upon passing a background check and medical screenings. Opportunities for advancement available.

Position Overview

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Office Assistant to support our home care agency operations. This entry-level position is ideal for a student or someone looking to gain experience in healthcare administration and office management.

The ideal candidate is organized, professional, and comfortable managing administrative tasks, communications, and outbound phone outreach to support daily agency operations.

Office Assistant (In-Office Role): This position is based in the office and includes occasional visits to healthcare facilities to build and maintain professional relationships. A gas stipend is provided for work-related travel.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform general office administrative duties
  • Assist with data entry and maintaining client records
  • Make outbound calls to clients, staff, or applicants as needed
  • Answer incoming calls and respond to emails professionally
  • Support scheduling and coordination of staff and clients
  • Prepare and edit documents, reports, and presentations
  • Maintain organized digital and paper filing systems
  • Assist management with special projects as needed
  • Ensure confidentiality of all client and agency information (HIPAA compliance)

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, email, Office 365, and other communication/documentation platforms
  • Familiarity with additional technology platforms for communication and documentation
  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Professional, reliable, and detail-oriented
  • Comfortable with outbound calls and professional communication
  • Ability to multitask and work independently

Additional Terms

  • Position includes an introductory contract period of up to 30 days
  • Must successfully pass a background check prior to starting
  • Contractor must sign a confidentiality agreement
