Description

The Information Technology Practitioner: Specialisation in Compliance designation was developed to address a critical skills gap at the intersection of compliance, IT governance, and emerging technologies.

Traditional compliance qualifications often focus only on laws, regulations, and risk management, while IT certifications emphasise technical systems without the governance and ethical context. This leaves a gap in capability: organisations need professionals who can bridge both worlds — ensuring that compliance obligations are embedded into IT systems, data governance, and digital processes.

The ITP(SA): Compliance pathway was therefore created to:

  • Equip compliance professionals with technical literacy in IT governance, cybersecurity, and data management.
  • Provide IT practitioners with compliance and regulatory fluency to align technology with laws and ethical frameworks.
  • Build a workforce that can anticipate and manage digital risk, while driving innovation responsibly.
