Description

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assembles component parts using a variety of hand tools.
  • Pin obsidian plug to ensure components are aligned and in place.
  • Pill slips for assembly.
  • Final trim if needed.
  • Maintains a clean work area.
  • Perform work safely.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
  • Record time in Mercury.
  • Perform all tasks as required of a Safety Sensitive position.

OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Work as a team to meet daily goals
  • Collaborate with co-workers to problem solve

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

  • Basic math skills
  • Familiar with hand tools, bench equipment
  • Basic verbal and written communication skills
  • Reading comprehension skills
  • Ability to work independently or in a team environment
  • Able to exercise good judgement
  • Ability to contribute towards the success of a team

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Moderate physical effort required.
  • Frequent standing
  • Prolonged sitting
  • Repetitive motion of finger, wrist, elbow, shoulder or neck movement
  • Frequent use of finger tips
  • Lifting up to 20 pounds from floor to waist
  • Ability to speak clearly
  • Reaching/lifting while holding objects weighing up to 20 pounds
  • Seeing to visually inspect, measure/assemble at a close distance

WORK ENVIRONMENT/ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS:

  • Inside manufacturing facility in a climate controlled environment
  • Occasional exposure to hazardous chemicals, fumes and gases
  • High noise level
